Project Overview
The scope of this project is designed to find out how individuals utilize personal protective equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic while shopping in a grocery store public setting. This data will be used to develop solutions to help reduce excess waste and improper PPE usage produced by disposable personal protective equipment and poor public habits. A variety of user types were identified and their user experiences explored to determine best solutions to meet the waste reduction and mask usage habit goals.
Problem Statement
The COVID-19 global pandemic has been cause for a pivotal shift in how society operates in various daily activities and business sectors. One such shift that our group sought to study and design around was the reduced flow of traffic and purchasing experience inside grocery stores. We wanted to provide users a means of having a safe grocery shopping experience that would minimize their contact with other people. While at the same time also providing them a quick and efficient means of acquiring their desired purchases.
